1) Rút gọn P.

Điều kiện: \(0 \le x \ne 4.\) 

Để \(P < \frac{1}{2}\) thì: \(\frac{{\sqrt x  - 2}}{{\sqrt x  + 1}} < \frac{1}{2} \Leftrightarrow 2\sqrt x  - 4 < \sqrt x  + 1 \Leftrightarrow \sqrt x  < 5 \Leftrightarrow x < 25.\)

Kết hợp điều kiện xác định ta có: \(\left\{ \begin{array}{l}0 \le x < 25\\x \ne 4\end{array} \right..\)

Vậy \(0 \le x < 25,\;x \ne 4\) thì \(P < \frac{1}{2}.\)
